Holidays look a bit different this year but there are still many opportunities to get out and celebrate safely with your family and friends around our hotel. From dazzling light displays to theme park experiences, below is a list of the best local events this holiday season. Please note that due to the California's Stay at Home Order, some attractions have closed.

Holidays in Your Car at Del Mar

Drive through the holidays featuring more than one million LED lights, holograms, and projection mapping animated to the tunes of Holiday Classics at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. There is no better way to get out and experience a safe and magical evening with your loved ones! Botanic Wonderland Holiday Nights in the Garden

Select nights in December from 5pm-8:30pm
Enjoy touring the San Diego Botanic Gardens for their Botanic Wonderland Holiday Nights in the Garden. Walk the garden on foot or travel by horse-led wagon rides to see the dazzling light displays and enjoy the festive music sung by carolers and mariachis. Kids will love roasting marshmallows, drinking hot chocolate alongside the campfire, and making holiday crafts. Weather permitting, snow will fall! Click here for more information.

Little Italy Tree Lighting & Christmas Village

December 5th from 6:30pm-7:15pm
Visit Little Italy to experience a magical evening filled with festive decor, seasonal vendors, a tree lighting ceremony in the Piazza della Famiglia with a live Christmas tree over 25-feet tall, live music and entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday treats, a surprise visit from Santa and more! La Jolla Parade

December 6th at 1:30pm
This year’s annual La Jolla Christmas Parade theme is “Christmas in the Cove”. Festivities will fill the streets of downtown La Jolla, bringing plenty of holiday fun and cheer! Before the parade, enjoy the Holiday Festival at the La Jolla Recreation Center from 11-1PM. There will be music and pictures with Santa available. For more information, click here.

Old Town Trolley's Holiday Lights and Sights Tour

Multiple dates through the holidays
For a full-on, unique experience in ‘America’s Finest City,’ take an Old Town Trolley’s Holiday Lights & Sights Tour and ride a wave of holiday cheer! Join in sing-a-long caroling with our Elf conductors as they share fun holiday facts and traditions. Enjoy a 15-minute stop at Seaport Village for holiday festivities, and then see the festive holiday lights of Old Town, Embarcadero, Seaport Village, Balboa Park and more! San Diego Bay Parade of Lights

CANCELLED - December 13th & 20th
Presented by the Port of San Diego, the Parade of Lights returns for its 49th consecutive year! Dozens of boats will cruise by with dazzling light displays, following this year’s theme — “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” Locals and visitors will have two chances to catch the parade, and are encouraged to stay safe with us by adhering to CDC guidelines. Holidays at LEGOLAND

CLOSED - November 20, 2020 - January 10, 2021
LEGO Santa, his reindeer, and elves are waiting for you at LEGOLAND California this holiday season! The LEGO Christmas tree will be lit each night and twinkling to holiday music. Santa, the Toy Soldier, and the Gingerbread Man will all be around for pictures and holiday cheer! Also, be sure to catch the sleigh with a life-sized LEGO Santa! Click here for more information.

SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration

CLOSED - November 13, 2020- January 4, 2021
At SeaWorld’s Christmas celebration families can still experience holiday fun in a safe and fun way! Classic shows such as the Dolphin Island Christmas show and Clyde and Seamore’s Christmas Special are back for another year. There will also be holiday music-activated Tunnel of Lights, a sea-themed Christmas tree, lots of seasonal food and treats, and, of course, plenty of  sea life to enjoy.
